Mike's new CD is finally out!
Mike Freedman's latest release takes his music in a new direction and showcases a blending of the many elements of his musical background. On this CD, Mike features his expertise as both an improviser/jazz musician and a nylon string guitarist. Mike's love for many musical styles blend well in this mix of Latin, jazz and other worldly rhythms and textures. The instrumental pieces flow along, are easy on the ears and enjoyable to listen to while adhering to a radio format and sound, having strong hooks and melodies.
Mike new CD also hightlights the musical talents of other musician's including, Arnold Faber (vibes), Dave Patel (drums) Wendy Irvine (vocals) and Rakesh Tewari (percussion). There great performances enhance the tunes and help bring the music to life
Composer for Film and Television
Mike is a highly versatile composer and has written music in a wide array of styles.. Mike has written the filmscore for several feature films as well as many short films and documentaries. Most recently, Mike wrote the score to the film "The Golden Pin", which won "Best Canadian Short" in the Inside Outside Film Festival and has played at over 30 film festivals world wide.

Mike is a Toronto based recording artist and producer with over 20 years of playing, recording and writing music. Mike has released two CD’s as a singer/songwriter and a third one as an instrumentalist. Mike owns and runs his own recording facility, Nuance In Sound, where he writes, records, mixes and masters music to broadcast quality. Mike’s songs and instrumental music has received national airplay, and has been placed in film and TV, including the hit TV show, Dawson’s Creek.
